SSL Tuesday, April 20th, 2004 Today's note-taker: Brendan Today's snack-binger: Hal For Thursday, April 22nd, Snacks: Paul Notetaker: Martin ********************************** When should we have the final SSL dinner party? The choices are May 4th or 6th. Emilie would prefer the 6th, so if this doesn't work for anyone, speak up now. Jim announced he is upping the salary cap like he said in his email to $1,000 per person. He also asked everyone to please update their sites! Even though NSF will be sending out their final decisions tomorrow, it is still required of you in your contracts. Also, every SSLer should have received (or soon receive) an email from Melania Alvarez with a questionaire about the SSL experience. Please look for it soon and respond when you do get it. Hal will send out an email to the SSL list explaining how to cite papers in TeX. Look for it soon. ********************************** Write-ups: Emilie and Paul have almost completed their write-up. The paper was distributed to everyone there and we all gave our (rather extensive!) input on what could be improved. On Thursday, any additional comments or suggestions should be given to them. The Newton folks are still working on theirs. From now on, the semi-official version will live at . Right now, we need to smooth out the proof of the conjecture and get that integrated into the version on Brendan's site. If anyone else is working on their respective parts, please consider just adding it to the LaTeX file and emailing Brendan with the changes. This will hopefully reduce the amount of work required to assimilate everyone's contributions.
